SPAIN March'15

                   OUR PARTNERS WERE HERE!
                      March, 11th - 15th - 2015
You can see here everything we did for and with them

                                            DAY 1
French pupils and teachers arrived to school in the morning. Our pupils welcomed them at the playground and then they took part of the workshops we had prepared for the Cultural Week. Some of them were painting a T-shirt with the shape of our famous "The maids of honor" by Velázquez.

Italian pupils and teachers arrived in the evening. They were a bit tired but excited for the days they were going to spend here.

                                          DAY 2
                                           WELCOME CEREMONY AT SCHOOL

When the teachers from France, Italy and Ireland arrived at our school, their pupils were sitting waiting for the show. We wanted to show them some painting and its artist through some dances. Then, we set the puzzle of the European Parliament. And we finished the show with some flamenco dances by teachers and pupils and a special Batukada by Richi, the Music teacher. We all followed the line dancing with the Batukada.

After the break, some french pupils enjoyed our dark light workshop in which they discovered the power of light, music and some experiments with a handmade microscope.  Italian pupils painted their T-shirt as the French did the day before.

                            COMENIUS FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

After lunch, French, Italian and Spanish pupils played  together a football match in which girls and boys played. They had a really good time.
After the match, they also could have a snack provided by Parents Association of school. They all were playing at school like if they knew each other since long time ago. It was a beautiful afternoon-evening.

                                                 DAY 3
                                         TRIP TO MADRID

On Friday morning our guests and some Spanish pupils went to Madrid, to visit some touristic places such as Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Cibeles, Puerta de Alcalá and finally, Retiro Park in which we had a rest for lunch.

After lunch, we visited Reina Sofia Museum. We saw "Guernica" by Picasso, "Un Mundo" by Angeles Santos and "La ventana abierta" by Juan Gris. The paintings were explained by Spanish kids.

                                                DAY 3
                                         TRIP TO SEGOVIA

On Saturday, we went to Segovia with the families of our pupils. We really enjoyed having a walk around visiting the Aqueduct and the Alcazar, a palace. We also had lunch in a restaurant in which children enjoyed so much eating together and playing after all. Then, we went to buy some souvenirs with the kids.

                                                DAY 5
                                         GOOD-BYE TIME

Sunday it was a really sad day. Our pupils were really sad to say goodbye to their new friends. Italian and French pupils also were sad but happy because they lived a really nice experience.

Thanks to all of you who came to visit to us and make us believe that barriers don't exist.
